"Held & Free" - Canvas Print Framed

from $225.00

“Held & Free” - A Canvas Print framed in raw maple. “Held & Free” was created to visually capture the duality of feeling held (feeling supported, nourished and nurtured) while simultaneously feeling free (feeling open and able to explore and play uninhibited) which ultimately allows an idea (or a child) to flourish.

These high quality canvas prints are the next best option to an original.

Durable color and museum aesthetic on certified archival, OBA-free canvas made right here in the US. Printed with eco-solvent based inks and then sealed in place with a subtle lamination that forms into the weave of the canvas, maintaining the original texture, while ensuring the finished piece is scratch resistant and protected.

Each canvas print is inspected by the artist and then framed in house with a maple floater frame, wired and ready to hang in your home.

Canvas sizes range based on the original size and composition. Please note that the floater frames add an inch to dimensions with a 2.5” total depth for all sizes.

Created as part of the “Held & Free” Collection.

Many layers have gone into each original piece in this collection. Several pieces are done in mixed media with antique music sheets from the early 1900’s layered in each nest. The Japanese influence of the Enso mark (a circular, quick gesture mark usually done with ink) is the base layer, symbolizing completeness, wholeness, and togetherness while also embracing the moment of what ‘is’ since the mark is done in one swooping motion. Whole and yet imperfect.

Through weaving warm and cool neutral tones, a nest forms and held inside are a varying number of robin eggs. Lastly, a few, subtle, iridescent strokes of gold paint are added to the nest to illuminate the energy found in a place where you feel like you belong, a place where you feel free.

There is music to be heard inside each of these pieces, inside the creation of something or someone that feels both Held and Free. Let “Held & Free” bring a sense of belonging, a feeling of acceptance and nurturing love, into your home.
