Take in the aroma of sea salt and pine. Feel the warmth underfoot of sun-drenched granite in the summertime on the shoreline. Hear the gentle, lapping sound of tidal water on Maine’s edges. Maine invites you to slow down, to rest on the pine-lined edges of the coast, to take in the captivating shapes created by shadow and light, to offer a sense of play and imagination. The edges of Maine offer us a place to let go. Glimpses of the wide open sea between the tall pines share hope and unconditional love. If you spend time by the ocean, a little bit of peace settles in.

Painting brings peace and a sense of play to my days. One of my favorite things to do is explore and go on outdoor adventures with my family. Maine’s backyard playground is full of trails leading to the rocky and pine-edged coastline and views of islands rising out of the calm Casco Bay waters.

These playful and peaceful moments, solo or with my family, inspire me to capture the beauty in paint. Creating is an act of gratitude for me and it brings me great joy to share it with you.
