Inspiration & Intention
Walking the mudflats, listening to the lapping salty waves, and breathing in the quiet joy that Maine’s landscape offers us were all moments of inspiration for this “Sweeping Skies” Collection.
This collection of work captures the places that reunite us on the edges of Casco Bay and Mt. Desert Narrows.
My intentions were to create a body of work that gently encourages us to let go of the added weight this past year has cloaked us with and allow that heaviness to float away with the salty breeze, into the soft, sweeping skies. Because it’s time. It’s time to be with our people, our family, our friends once again and celebrate love and connection and belonging. Summer time in Maine brings us together and this summer let’s savor it.
The ever changing, light-filled, sweeping skies remind us to take all our cares away, leaving space for joy and connection once again.
So when the harbor calls to us…
…be present in the moment with the ones we love. Whether swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, or simply walking along the shore, let us remember to savor the connection and joyous time of leisure. This collection offers a sense of contentment and an invitation to play through the display of sweeping skies, of rolling coastal hills in the distance, and islands on the horizon. I invite you to bring this contentment and love for Maine into your home.
