Finding the Light
As the temperatures and daylight dwindle and leaves fall, finding the light becomes almost that of survival. Seeking light, finding the light, here in Maine, offers warmth - though very much subtle this time of year - and that warmth from the reflecting light is healing.
From the working waterfront to the expansive pine lined shores, Maine’s coast offers us a place to breathe, reset and find subtle light and warmth. That is what I try to capture in my paintings: the gratitude I have for the light and lightness - the peace- so generously offered by the Maine landscape.
